Royal Wedding Blog: The Second

While all eyes were fixed on Kate Middleton and that dress, Westminster Abbey saw some impeccably dressed guests pass through its doors. And one thing's for sure, Milliner to the stars, Philip Treacy, must have had a busy few months, artfully dressing the heads of countless royals and guests...

It seemed to me that Princess Beatrice was taking a bit of a cue from Lady Gaga with her amazing sculptural Philip Treacy hat, perfectly toned to match her dress and coat by Valentino. Bit of a fashion risk for a royal some might say, but I have to say I love it!

Camilla Parker Bowles, the Duchess of Cornwall pushed the boat out in her own fashion stakes, sporting a stunning champagne silk dress and duck egg blue pleated coat by Anna Valentine. She finished the look with Jimmy Choo courts and a shapely hat by Philip Treacy.

If it existed, the Best Dressed Guests Award would have to go to the Beckhams. Predictable? Possibly, but they do make one stylish couple. Victoria, who is 6 months pregnant, looked, as ever, effortlessly chic in a billowing navy dress from her own label's fall collection, which has been altered to fit her bump. She stood tall in towering Christian Louboutin platforms and wore a neat pillbox hat with dramatic black spirals, by, you guessed it, Philip Treacy. David meanwhile appeared to have new hairdo, and looked dapper in a Ralph Lauren suit with his OBE medal.
